Couch Partners With "The Expendables" To Promote Surf Music and the Environment
Couch Distributing is pleased to be in a partnership since 2005 with The Expendables, one of the premier bands in the Monterey Bay area, and now drawing fans around the country.
The Expendables released their most recent album, "The Expendables," in September 2007 on Stoopid Records. It can be found at Best Buy, on Itunes, and other locations.
The band's previous album, "Gettin' Filthy," was released in late 2004 and was recorded over a two-month period at Herbie Herbert's Sy Klopps Studios in San Francisco.
In support of the local music scene, Couch sponsors The Expendables in concerts at over-21 venues. The four-man musical group also lends its support to the company's local environmental efforts and promotions, such as Save Our Surf.
Band members (all over 21, by the way) are Adam Patterson (vocals, drums), Geoff Weers (vocals, guitar), Raul Bianchi (lead guitar) and Ryan DeMars (bass, vocals).
The Expendables are a California-grown surf culture band whose unique brand of music is described as "an eclectic mix of genre-bending rock, reggae and surf." The band has a headlining tour of the Western states beginning in January of 2008 and after that will be on a national tour as support for San Diego's "Slightly Stoopid." Much of 2008 will be spent on the road in various tours.
Metro Santa Cruz, a local weekly paper, wrote, "The Expendables stand out as a bunch of guys who've got the energy and drive to keep crowds rockin' anytime, anywhere, for any reason. The Expendables sing about subjects familiar to most folks living the saltwater life."
